Winthrop Street Baptist Church, in Taunton, MA, is seeking a Senior Pastor who should conform to the Scriptural standards for ministry as recorded in 1 Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:6-9.

The requirements for candidacy include a Masters of Divinity or the equivalent, five years of ministry experience, urban experience, and an evangelical Baptistic theology.

We are a Spirit-led Converge Baptist General Conference congregation of approximately 175 attendees. The current pastor will be retiring when a new pastor is called to our pulpit.

The Pastor is the primary teaching pastor of the church. He should give considerable time to the study of the Word and teach the Scriptures to our church family by word and example.

He should aim to feed the church family, and guard the church against the attack of the enemy so that we might fulfill our mission statement of “Know Christ, Grow in Christ, Serve Christ, Share Christ”.
